Suzuki has confirmed that it will launch the Moto GP Edition of the newly launched Gixxer SF 250, next month itself. It will include some cosmetic upgrades.
Suzuki updated the Gixxer SF 155 with a new Moto GP Edition, derived from the bigger GSX bikes. The same update is going to come on the newly launched 250cc Gixxer, confirm in August 2019.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Moto GP Edition will come with the same Blue paint job with ECSTAR decals and big ‘Suzuki’ decals on the side fairing. Further, you also get neon coloured rim bordering. The prices are likely to increase by a thousand rupees, from the current point of Rs 1.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The engine specifications and features of the Gixxer Sf 250 Moto GP Edition will remain the same. It will continue with the same 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, that pumps out 26.5 BHP and 22 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

SF 250 competes with KTM RC200 and Honda CBR250R, squarely. With the same pricing range, it also faces some competition from KTM Duke 250, Bajaj Dominar, RE Classic 350 and Jawa Motorcycles.
In comparison, the specs of the bike are fairly decent. Talking about the features, it comes with LED headlamps, LED tail lights, a fully digital instrument console, gear-shift indicator, split seats and Fuel Injection System.
Suspension is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back, tuned to a stiffer setup. This setup suited well for our test ride on the track. For braking, it gets a 300mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the back, with dual-channel ABS.

This 250cc engine will be also seen on Gixxer 250, which is scheduled to launch in the festive season. The naked quarter-litre Gixxer will be more aggressive-looking than the recently updated Gixxer.
Later next year, this engine is also expected to come on Intruder, which gets the same 155cc engine on the Gixxer Twins. With some design updates and new features, the Intruder 250 will be the most affordable 250cc cruiser in India.
