With the Auto Expo 2020 dates having been announced, the excitement is buzzing up as this year will see a lot of major unveils and launches from many manufacturers.
Auto Expo, the biennial automobile show in India, is one of the largest automobile shows in Asia. Auto Expo has seen many major launches and unveils in India over the years and now, the dates for the Auto Expo 2020 have been announced. The Auto Expo 2020 will be held from 7-12th February at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP, India. The components exhibition will take place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 6-9th February.
The official exhibitor’s list has not been announced yet, but it will be known at a later date. The Auto Expo is the best platform in the country for home grown manufacturers and as we as international auto makers to showcase their products and the latest technology to the masses.
Although the official list of exhibitors is still yet to come, we expect the participation of major brands which include Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Honda and Renault as well. From the premium end of the market, we expect the Mercedes Benz and DC as well with a few quirky concepts.
There are quite a few exciting launches lined up for 2020 Auto Expo and we are going to see some major launches. Let’s start with our home grown manufacturers:
Tata – Tata will be unveiling the seven-seater Harrier – the Tata Buzzard – at the 2020 Auto Expo. We can also expect Tata’s compact SUV – code named the Blackbird – to be previewed at the Auto Expo.
Mahindra – As for Mahindra, they have an entire fleet of vehicles that would be debuting at the event. That includes the next-gen XUV500, the next-gen Scorpio and the next-gen Thar as well. All these vehicles have been spied testing several times already.

Hyundai – Another major slew of launches will be coming from Hyundai. The Grand i10, the Elite i20, the Xcent and most importantly, the Creta – all are going to see a generation update with lots of changes for each of them.
Volkswagen and Skoda – Both these brands have quite a few SUVs lined up in their stable. Skoda has plans for the Kamiq-based crossover and Karoq while Volkswagen might bring in the T-Roc mid-sized SUV. You can also expect Volkswagen to finally debut the next generation Polo in India.
MG Motors and Kia – These two newest brands in India sure will have some interesting products to show as well. Kia might be unveiling the Carnival MPV while MG Motors has the seven-seater Hector on their cards. Expect them to showcase some of their future models as well.

So these were only a few exciting launches and unveils we are expecting at the Auto Expo 2020. Of course, there are going to be a lot more cars and crazy concepts as well. In keeping with the trend, there certainly will be a bunch of electric cars as well.
In fact, electric and hybrid cars are expected to be the main stay of the event. There’s the Mahindra XUV300 EV and the Tata Altroz EV that we are expecting at the Auto Expo among many other electric cars.
