The launch of Renault Duster Facelift is reportedly going to happen this month itself. The updated model has been spied and it gets major cosmetic upgrades.
Renault is finally going to update the Duster SUV for the Indian market. The global markets received this update last year itself. The facelifted model was recently spied in the Himalayas, for the TVC shoot.
FYI, this SUV was introduced in India 7 years back, as the first of its kind. Actually, Duster made way for compact SUVs in India. Owing to the same styling over these years, its sales have gone down.
Cartoq reports that the launch of Renault Duster Facelift will happen by next week itself. The report further states that the prices will remain unchanged. Now, the SUV is priced from Rs 7.99 Lakhs to RS 13.09 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).

Most of the changes will be limited to the design bits and mechanically, it will be the same. At the front, you get a new chrome grille, which looks more premium. The alloy wheels and tail lamps are also different.
There are slight revisions in the creases over the body. Inside the cabin, you are likely to get new colours for the seat and dashboard. There are chances of better quality of plastics to come onboard.
The Renault Duster Facelift will continue with the same 1.5 Litre petrol engine, that delivers 106 BHP and 140 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed MT with an optional CVT gearbox. Would it be BS-6 compliant? That we will know post its launch.
A week ago, we did a story that stated Renault is going to discontinue its diesel cars in India. This will include the diesel engines that come on Lodgy, Duster and Captur. It got a 1.5 Litre diesel engine that was available in two tunes – 85 BHP and 200 Nm and 108 BHP and 240 Nm.

There are chances that the Duster facelift might come with a diesel engine till the emission norms kick in from April 2020. The diesel variant will come with a 6-speed manual and an optional R-Easy AMT gearbox.
Like earlier, the facelifted version will go against Maruti S-Cross, Nissan Terrano, Mahindra TUV300 and some variants of Hyundai Creta as well.
