The Renault Triber has dimensions which puts it right up there with cars in the premium hatchback segment but by pricing, it will take on the B-segment hatchbacks.
The Renault Triber was unveiled in India last week and it offers quite some versatility being a sub-4m car but still having seats for seven. The Triber is based on a highly modified version of the Kwid’s CMF-A platform which brings modularity to the car. Now, the Renault Triber dimensions and color schemes have been revealed ahead of its launch in the months to come.
The Renault Triber measures 3990mm in length, has a width of 1739mm, a height of 1,643mm (without roof rails) and a wheelbase of 2636mm. The car comes with a ground clearance of 182mm (unladen), while the vehicle’s kerb weight is 947kg. On the interiors, it gets a shoulder room of 1356mm in the first row and 1330mm in the second row. The last row of seats will have a shoulder room of 1216mm in the third row.
As the dimensions of the Renault Triber reveal, it’s size is right up there with cars in the premium hatchback segment but its wheelbase is a little longer than most of them. That is what allows space for the third row of seats. Also, the shoulder room, even in the third row is pretty decent and it wouldn’t be cramped up there.
The Renault Triber gets a front track of 1547mm and a rear track of 1545mm. It will have 165/80-section tyres with 14-inch rims as standard, while the top-spec models will get 185/65-section tyres with 15-inch alloy wheels. The Triber will be available in five colour options – Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, Electric Blue, Fiery Red and a new orange paint scheme.

The Triber is very practical on the interiors and across all the rows. It has dedicated AC vents, 12V power sockets in each of the three rows. It also gets convenience features like a cooled central storage area and also a cooled glove box along with 31-liters of storage area inside the cabin. There’s a large enough infotainment system for your connectivity and entertainment purposes and you also get a massive 620-liters of boot space when you have the third row down.

The Renault Triber will be powered by a 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol engine that will produce 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. It will be available with a five-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The Triber is a very unique car and it does not have any direct rival in the market other than the Datsun Go+ but that car isn’t a competition anyway. The Triber will actually rival the B-segment hatchbacks which include the Hyundai Grand i10, the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Ford Figo.
