Tata Tigor EV is said to have a certified driving range of 142 Km and the car is made available in two trims, XM and XT with only three colour options.
As the growing trend of e-mobility continues, the much anticipated Tata Tigor EV prices are out. The all-electric car will start from Rs 9.99 lakh for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The ex-showroom prices for the same come under the FAME II scheme under which it gets relief of up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Tata Tigor EV will be first made available to the cab operators and then will further continue to the private ownership. As of now, it is made available in two trims, XM and XT, both of which comes with standard safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system and seat belt reminders.
It comes with three colour options (white, silver and blue) to satisfy the needs of the buyer. On the exteriors both the cars looks the same as its petrol and diesel counterparts except for the badging on the fuel lid and EV decals at the front. The EV badging on the front grille can be seen too so it highlights the particular difference.

Both the trims get LED tail lights, climate control unit, Harman-sourced 2 Din audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Some added features like power adjustable wing mirrors and 14-inch alloy wheels, shark fin antenna with LED stop lamp will be seen on the XT trim while the base variant XM will have steel wheels only. One noted highlight is that the boot space is now limited to 310 litres as opposed to 419 litres seen on other powertrain options.
Tata Tigor is built on the OMEGA architecture which provides an advantage of building electric cars and conventional fuel engines. This same structure is likely to be followed on the Tiago EV too.
Tata Tigor EV will be powered by a 72-V, 3-Phase induction motor which will generate 40 bhp with a healthy torque of 105 Nm. The driving range of this EV is expected to be 140 km on a single charge. The transmission includes a single speed automatic.

The battery for the same can be charged up to 80% in just 6 hours via standard AC wall socket. A DC 15kW fast charger is also available which will charge the car to 80% in just 1.5 hours. Tata will offer a 3 year or 1.25 lakh km warranty with the battery pack for the EV.
