Hero Xpulse 200 replaces the discontinued Impulse and actually poses as a more premium offering. Hero has launched three new bikes in May – the Xpulse 200 Twins and the fully-faired Xtreme 200S.
Xpulse 200 uses a 199.5cc air-cooled engine, that produces 18.4 BHP and 17.1 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Hero also offers Fuel Injection technology on this motorcycle and not on the 200T.
Off-roading aids include spoked wire wheels, an upswept exhaust, knuckle guards, engine bash plate and a high mounted beak-shaped mudguard. 21-inch spoke wheels at the front and 18-inch at the back with dual purpose tires improve the off-roading prowess.
The suspension is aided by 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a 10-step adjustable pre-load monoshock at the back, with 170mm travel at both the ends. The suspension setup is the same on the Xpulse 200T as well.
