New Hyundai Creta packs some new features and is expected to be priced at a premium than the on-going model.
The Creta impressively does four digits sales monthly making it the most popular car of its segment and among Indian buyers. It recently got a facelift too with added features and design change but Hyundai is planning to bring a new generation of Creta at the 2020 Auto Expo with more features and a revamped design.
Recently, Kia revealed Seltos in Indian markets and boy it packs some extravaganza features. We all know that both Creta and Seltos sits on the same platform and Creta being the rich-in feature car, will borrow some of the features from its sibling.
First, off the connectivity features, it will get the Hyundai Connected Technology called BlueLink which debuted with the Venue. This technology comes with features such as Remote Start/Stop/Door Lock-Unlock/Climate Control/Light Control can be operated along with it provides you with the Real-Time Navigation, Vehicle Theft and Destination Set in Link.

Hyundai Creta is also expected to get a large 10.25-inch tochscreen infotainment system like we have seen on the Seltos. It will get Android Auto, Apply CarPlay, Voice-command and Bluetooth connectivity as features. A better sound system is also expected with the Creta.
A 360-degree camera as the convenience feature and ambient lighting inside the cabin will make its way in. But we are expecting these will come only on the top-end features. Auto-headlights, rain sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat are some of more features we can expect new Hyundai Creta will borrow from Kia Seltos.
Coming to the safety features, the current Hyundai Creta offers Six-Airbags, ABD with EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, Seat Belt Reminders, ESP, Speed-Sensing Door Lock and Child Safety Lock are some of them.
More features like front parking sensors, brake assist system, traction control, hill descent control can be expected from the upcoming Creta. Since Seltos and Creta both shares the same platform, the material quality of new Creta will be lightweight and yet get a robust structure.
Talking about the exterior design of the New Creta, it will get a split headlight design with LED projector headlamps and LED taillights. It gets an agile new front grille with chrome inserts and newly designed diamond cut alloy wheels. The rear profile also follows a similar split-set of taillights just like at the front and a LED strip running between it.

Hyundai will bring a new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine for the new generation Creta and Verna. The power figures are unknown but the petrol engine will be mated to 6-speed manual transmission along with CVT while the diesel will continue to get 6-speed torque converter AT and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Like that of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta may also be available with a more powerful petrol engine which will be turbocharged. The 1.4-litre engine will be mated to 7-speed DCT gearbox if it comes in the near future.
The prices of the current generation Hyundai Creta starts from Rs 10 lakh for the base trim and goes up to Rs 15.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect that the new Creta will be priced at a higher end when launched. It will rival against the likes of Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and upcoming Honda HR-V.
