Kia Seltos is expected to launch late in September and the car will get both petrol and diesel engine with 1.5-litre of capacity.
Just a day before its unveil, Kia Seltos has been spied again on the Indian roads, however, this time it is undergoing BS-VI emission tests. The mid-size SUV is all set to launch in late September.
The engine specifications for the upcoming SUV will largely remain to 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motor. The car will be mated to both manual and automatic gearbox. Reports also suggest that the engine will be BS-VI ready but for now Kia Seltos will be launched according to BS-IV emission norms only.
A more powerful turbocharged petrol engine too is likely to come and it will make 140 bhp on tap and will be mated to 7-speed DCT. It will come with paddle shifters too for quick and smooth acceleration.

The SUV was spotted in international markets lately where it could be seen in all flesh. Earlier, the interiors shots were spotted and Kia also released the official sketches for their upcoming SUV.
The interiors sported gets a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an-black interiors. It also gets a twin-pod instrument cluster and a large MID screen between them.
It gets a premium cabin with piano black inserts on the dashboard with silver accents, leather upholstery and more. Also in the pictures, the signature three-spoke Kia steering wheel can be observed.
The spied version here gives an idea of what the SUV may look like. New machine-cut dual tone alloy wheels can be observed along with LED DRLs. The signature tiger-nose grille up front can also be spotted.

Kia Seltos will sit on an all-new 2020 platform which will also be shared by the new generation Hyundai Creta. The car will compete against the likes of Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta and also the entry-level variants of the Jeep Compass and MG Hector. The expected price for the upcoming Seltos will be Rs 12 lakh – Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
