Mahindra Mojo is likely to come in single variant and the will get dual channel ABS as a safety measure.
It was not days ago we told you about the zero sales of Mahindra Mojo in the last three months and the manufacturer giving discounts worth Rs 75,000. Now new images of Mahindra Mojo are surfacing the internet of a test mule which sports ABS and is BS-VI ready, the latter which will suffice the upcoming emission norms.
The low sales and hefty discounts made the existence of Mahindra Mojo skeptical, however, with the new spy shots we are sure that the updated trim will soon be launched in Indian markets. New Mahindra Mojo will come in a single variant as to optimize the cost and compatibility.
The new Mahindra Mojo gets Pirelli Angel GT tyres which reduces the overall weight of the two-wheeler and thus improving the acceleration. Similarly, the brakes have also been now replaced with new Byrbe unit as opposed to the Jijuan braking system. The size of the front disc is at 320 mm while the rear tyre sports 240 mm disc. It gets a dual-channel ABS as a standard safety feature.

The inverted telescope fork is now replaced with a regular telescopic front fork as a cost-cutting measure. Another benefit of the regular fork over the expensive inverted ones is that they provide better off-road performance. The manufacturer also ditched the two exhaust canisters and replaced it with a single canister, showing signs of cost-cutting.
It is also said that the 2019 Mahindra Mojo ABS will get a tweaked engine to comply with the upcoming BS-VI norms. The 295-cc liquid-cooled engine will employ fuel injection technology which will produce a total of 27.1 bhp and will be mated to 6-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra has significantly used cost-cutting methods in the upcoming Mojo but the safety measures have been marked as a priority. We expect the bike to go on sale anytime soon from now on and once launched it will compete against the likes of Bajaj Dominar, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa Motorcycle and KTM Duke 250. One can see an expected price tag of Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
