Honda is launching its first BS-6 scooter tomorrow, being the first in India as well. Could it be a new 125cc model or an 125cc updated model?
So, Honda is launching its first BS-6 scooter, as said in the invite. As of now, we have no idea of what could it launch? Reports suggest that it is a 125cc scooter for sure, but which one?
As the emission norms are scheduled to kick in from April 2020, automotive brands are working hard to launch their BS-6 vehicles well before time. Hero and Honda are currently at loggerheads.
Some reports suggest that it could be a BS-6 Activa 125, basically getting the Fuel Injected (FI) system. Or could be it an all-new 125cc scooter, which was recently spied in India?

A couple of weeks earlier, spy shots of the Honda Elite 125cc scooter were leaked. Available in the global markets, it was spied in India for the first time. Also, it got a large FI badging on the front apron, which led us to believe that it is BS-6 compliant.
It looks similar to Grazia and the Dio, but is actually a new design. The same bulky styling exists, but it looks a bit more sporty than the Grazia. Of course, Dio is the coolest looking of all Honda scooters.
Other set of reports suggest that it would actually be the Honda Activa 125 with FI, making it BS-6 compliant. The 110cc Activa is going to get a major revamp by next year and the 125cc model will continue with the same engine.

Both of them will use the same 125cc engine that produces 8.52 BHP and 10.54 Nm of torque. The fuel economy will be better than what comes on the Activa 125, thanks to the FI system.
The price expectations for the Elite BS-6 scooter start from Rs 60,000. It would be placed above Grazia, making it the most expensive scooter from Honda.
