After being spied for some time now, the Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition has finally been launched in India. It is based on the mid-spec Titanium variant.
Ford has added a new variant on the EcoSport lineup. The new Thunder Edition has been launched and is available with a petrol as well as a diesel engine. With this, the entire lineup also receives some updates.
The Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition is priced at Rs 10.18 Lakhs for the petrol model and Rs 10.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the diesel model. The prices are exactly same as of the Titanium+ variant.
The new edition is available with the 1.5 Litre TiVCT petrol and the 1.5 Litre TDCi diesel engine. Both the engines come mated to manual gearbox, missing on the Automatic Gearbox.

The 1.5 Litre petrol engine produces 123 BHP at 6500 RPM and 150 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The diesel engine produces 100 BHP at 3750 RPM and 205 Nm at 3250 RPM of torque.
The Thunder Edition gets new 17-inch alloy wheels, a blacked out front grille, blacked out rear mirrors, dual-tone bonnet and decals on the side as come exterior cosmetic upgrades. Inside, it gets cognac accents over the front seats and the centre console.
Features onboard include an electric sunroof, a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment, integrated navigation, voice commands, steering mounted audio controls and much more. It misses out on the SYNC3 system from the top-end variants.

Talking about the entire lineup, all the variants now get new beige upholstery and a revised front grille. The prices have also been revised, as base variants are now cheaper but the mid-spec and top-end variants are more expensive.
