Tata Tiago NRG now available with an option of AMT and gets larger 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Tata Tiago NRG, the crossover hatchback finally receives an automatic transmission. Starting at a price of Rs 6.15 lakh, it sits Rs 45,000 premium than its manual counterparts.
With the added money, the NRG now comes with an automatic transmission along with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also gets the Harman sound system.
Tata Tiago NRG is a butchy looking version of the standard Tiago with a full body kit contrasting black shade. The body kit includes front and rear bumpers add-ons with faux-brushed aluminium scuff plates. The car also features additional trim pieces on the running boards and wheel arches.

The big difference between the NRG and the standard Tiago is in terms of ground clearance which is raised by 10mm. Now Tata Tiago NRG is 180mm and marginally wider, longer and taller than the Tata Tiago.
The exteriors of the Tiago a black theme, with the all-black front grille, black roof rails, black roof, black wing mirrors, black trim on the tailgate and on the door handles. It also gets projector headlamps and the car sits on newly designed 14-inch alloy wheels.
The safety features of the Tiago are also updated and now gets dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBD) and corner stability control (CSC). The hatchback also gets rear parking sensors, front passenger seat belt warning and speed alert system as standard.
First launched in Sept 2018, the Tata Tiago NRG came with a 1.2-litre petrol engine generating 84bhp and 1.05-litre diesel engine churning 69bhp. Both were mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. Recently, spy shots of the facelifted Tata Tiago were caught and surfaced on the internet. The car first launched in 2016, is due for a facelift and is expected to launch by mid-June and is expected to get BS-VI compliance engine. The design changes will be inspired like the upcoming Tata Altroz.
The front end of the facelifted Tiago followed by NRG and the performance-oriented JTP may feature LED DRL’s and an aggressive grille. The car will also sit on newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels. Interiors can see a new dashboard design and upholstery for seats and side panels.
