Mahindra XUV300 BS-VI will probably be launched before the new emission norms hit that is April 2020
Manufacturers are gearing up to bring the BS-VI vehicles and several test mules have been spotted on Indian roads. The recent one is Mahindra XUV300 BS-VI. The compact SUV was spotted on Chennai-Tinivandam highway.
The car sports a red number plate and a sticker on its fuel-filler cap signifying BS-VI. The company must be checking its emission norms ahead of the launch. According to Motor Vikatan, this is a 1.5-litre diesel vehicle with BS-VI engine.
Mahindra XUV300 is available in both petrol and diesel engine currently. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor generates 110bhp of power with 200Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine is borrowed from Marazzo. However, power figures have been detuned and it now makes 115bhp on tap with 300Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and there is no availability of an automatic transmission.
