BMW 7 series will be the latest facelift to get in India will be their flagship sedan, the 7 series. Received a mid-cycle facelift earlier this year, the carmaker has decided to follow the wordings quite seriously, go big or go home. Let us explain why!
BMW 7 series gets the signature kidney grille but now it is larger in size. The inspiration comes from the BMW X7. Talking about the front looks, the bumper gives a dose of sophistication with the new chrome edges and larges trim surfaces. It also gets new headlights which feature BMW Laserlight high-beam.

Moving to the side, the sedan carries a conventional design like its predecessor. It might get new alloy wheels. The rear design of the BMW gets subtle changes like slimmer tail lamps with chrome strip connecting both the ends. The rear bumper sports wider exhaust pipes with chrome garnishing.
The cabin is not visible but gets a new steering wheel with updated controls, upgraded seats which provide more comfort with that extra padding and are finished in quilted leather. Features like in-built perfume, wireless charging and lane monitoring come as standard. There is 10.25-inch of the central display and 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.

Powering the BMW 7 series will be a new 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine which generates a power of 530bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque in the BMW 750i xDrive and BMW 750Li xDrive.
BMW has also introduced a new plug-in hybrid with the 740L variants. It will use the same 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine producing 280bhp with 450Nm of torque. It will be combined with an electric motor producing 111bhp. The combined power will come out to 391bhp. This means the luxury sedan will be much quicker and give a tough competition to its rivals.
The 2019 BMW 7 series facelift is expect to be launched in second half of the year. Prices for the same will be around Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom) for the base variant. BMW 7 series will compete with the Mercedes S-class, Audi A8 and Jaguar XJL.
