Ertiga is one successful MPV for Maruti being sold over 4 lakh units in a time period of 6 years. The new version which was launched late Nov 18′ packs a lot of features than its predecessor and a new design. Now, the manufacturer may bring a sportier version that will be called Maruti Ertiga Sport.
The ‘sport’ here only means the cosmetic upgrades and rather than tuning of the engine. Maruti Ertiga Sport was first showcased in Indonesia and will carry the same name when it will launch in India. Ertiga will be sold through the premium dealerships of Nexa or Arena chain.
Maruti Ertiga Sport seen in the picture gets a body kit all over, side skirts and rear spoiler. The car gets a hexagonal mesh grille and fog lamps surrounded by LED DRL’s. Moving to the side, the car gets side-skirts which makes the look more aesthetic.

The rear will be unchanged except for the rear spoiler and a new rear bumper. A faux diffuser may come along with a rear bumper too. The car may get a new set of alloy wheels too.
The Indonesian-spec Ertiga Sport gets an all-black treatment and will get all the features available in current top-spec trim. Maruti might sell the Ertiga Sport with a layout of 6-seat configuration which means the middle row will get captain seats.
Features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will follow along with automatic climate control and SmartPlay system.
If launched in India, expect it to be placed higher than the on-going ZXI+/ZDI+ top trim and marginally Rs 50000-60000 higher than the top trims.

The MPV recently made headlines of getting the new 1.5L DDiS 225 diesel engine which churns out more power and torque. The new engine is locally built by Maruti and makes a statement by Maruti that they are fully fledged into entering the bigger engine market. The new 1.5 Litre diesel engine improves performance, efficiency and lowers the NVH levels.
