Toyota Rush has entered the Indian markets, as it has been spotted on our roads. The upcoming MPV is expected to launch by next year.
Some days back, we did an exclusive story on the Toyota Rush based on our dealership sources. Our sources stated that the MPV is scheduled to launch in India by 2020-21.
Now, Thrustzone has leaked the first set of spy images of Toyota Rush in India. Three units of the car have been spotted atop the trailer, fully uncamouflaged. It has been spied in complete flesh!
Our reports have been further strengthened, since the MPV has started arriving in India. The first set might have arrived here for testing purposes. Rush was speculated to launch in India for a very long time now.

Toyota Rush has been spotted with skid plates, sleek LED headlamps, body cladding and the Fortuner-like front grille. The alloy wheels are the same that come on the global-spec. It actually looks like a mini-Fortuner.
Under the hood, it gets a 2.0 Litre dual VVT-i petrol engine, that is tuned to deliver 104 BHP and 136 Nm of torque. But, we think that the petrol engine from Yaris might come on Toyota Rush.
The engine on Yaris is a 1.5-litre petrol engine, that produces 107 BHP and 141 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with Manual transmission with the option of a CVT.
As of now, there are no details about the diesel engine. Even Yaris is not available with a diesel engine, which might be the same scenario with Rush. If it gets a diesel engine, it might use the bigger 2.4 Litre engine from Innova Crysta.

The 2.4 Litre Turbo diesel produces 150 BHP and 343 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is another 2.7 Litre engine for the Automatic variant, which will not be used on Rush.
Our sources mentioned that the prices will be around Rs 13 Lakhs range. Toyota Rush will go against Mahindra Marazzo, Renault Lodgy and the top-end variants of Maruti Ertiga.
