Toyota Glanza is set to be launched in June-first week. Ahead of the launch, the hatchback has started reaching dealerships.
Toyota Glanza interiors are doing the rounds on the internet. The rebadged Maruti Baleno has been spied again and started reaching the dealerships. Toyota Glanza is expected to launch early next month.
The particular spy pictures show a red colour shade sported on Toyota Glanza. The company is reticent about revealing any more information regarding the car apart from the official teaser they released on their website and social media which said, “Toyota Glanza – Hatching soon”.
Toyota Glanza which is spied is the ‘V’ variant which will be the top of the line and till now only blue and red colours are spotted. We are guessing other colour options will follow the lead too and more colour options from Toyota can be expected. The other variant which can be expected will be a ‘G’ variant.
The car is just a restyled Maruti Baleno on the exteriors, nothing is changed except for the badging and the front chrome grille which is now a lot shinier. The car sits on 16″ dual tone alloy wheels, gets projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED DRL’s and a chrome grille at the rear.
The interiors of the Glanza receive the same treatment as its cousin, Maruti Baleno. Here, the cabin is identical to Maruti Baleno and can be seen with the same steering wheel as its cousin but with Toyota’s badging on it.
All black-theme has been retained and features such as infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control and multi-information display can be on the offer.
Moving to engine specifications, Toyota Glanza is expected to get the same BS-VI 1.2L Dual Jet, Dual VVT Engine with a mild hybrid system as that of Maruti Baleno. The engine churns out 90bhp of power with 113Nm of peak torque.
It will be mated to a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox too. The average fuel economy will be 21.06 Kmpl for the manual version and 19 Kmpl for the automatic version.
