2019 Honda Rebel has been showcased at the Bangkok International Motor Show. It receives minor visual updates and some feature additions.
Honda has updated its modern cruiser, Rebel 300 for this year. The 2019 version has been showcased at the BIMS 2019. It is priced at around 150,000 Baht (converted – Rs 3.27 lakh).
Interestingly, this particular motorcycle has already been patented in India. Speculations suggest that Honda’s plan to introduce more performance motorcycles in India will include the Honda Rebel 300 as well.
Rebel 300 is a modern day Urban cruiser with blacked out elements and a sporty look. It is meant for the younger riders who want something refreshed.

Honda Rebel 300 uses uses the same engine that comes on the CB300R, but with slightly lower power figures. The 286cc liquid-cooled engine produces 27.1 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque, with the motor mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The fuel tank, frame, alloy wheels and the engine have been blacked out. It gets a narrow frame, which is clearly evident, and a tear-drop shaped fuel tank.
For suspension, it uses 41mm conventional forks at the front and 5-step pre-load adjustable twin shock absorbers at the back. The front suspension gets 121mm travel and the rear setup gets 96mm travel.

Braking in handled by a 296mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the back, paired with dual-channel ABS with G-Sensor as standard fitment. The same braking setup is available on the CB150R and CB300R as well.
Features onboard include a digital round instrument console, a conventional round headlamp, fat bobber tires and ABS. It is now available in 3 paint jobs – Pearl Cadet Grey, Candy Energy Orange and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
The ideal competitor for Honda Rebel 300 in India will be Jawa Motorcycles and Royal Enfield Classic 350. The latter is the best selling cruiser in India and Jawa is also quite popular right now.

We expect the Indian debut to happen the following year. In an earlier report, Honda officials have confirmed that they will bring more performance bikes to India.
