Currently, Bajaj Qute is available only in some states. Reports confirm that by the end of this month, it will be launched in 22 states.
Bajaj Auto recently launched the Qute quadricycle in India starting from Rs 2.63 Lakhs. After nearly 5-6 years of getting permissions and other official things, the two-wheeler manufacturer now finally offers the modern rickshaw to private buyers.
At the time of the launch, it was available in selective states like Maharashtra and Delhi. Recently, Qute was launched in Kerala, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Orissa (only Bhubaneshwar).
While working for the availability of Bajaj Qute in different states, Business Standard reports that the process will be done by the end of April 2019.

Bajaj Qute is a quadricycle, which is much smaller than a car but slightly bigger than an auto rickshaw. It weighs less than 475 kgs and has a short turning radius of nearly 3.5 metres. It can only fit 4 adults.
It uses a 216cc liquid-cooled DTS-i single-cylinder engine. The motor is capable of producing 13.1 BHP at 5500 RPM and 18.9 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM on the petrol variant.
Qute is also available with CNG, which produces 10.9 BHP at 5500 RPM and 16.1 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed sequential manual transmission.

The fuel economy of the petrol variant is 35 kmpl, whereas that of CNG variant is 43 km/kg. That means, the CNG variants costs a mere Rs 1.53/km. A top speed of 70 km/hr is achievable on Bajaj Qute.
Features onboard include halogen headlamps, USB Charging port, a music player, lockable storage compartments, driver adjustable seat, centre-placed analogue-digital console and 60:40 split rear bench.
Safety features onboard include just seat belts. However, it uses high strength monocoque body with impact-resistant plastic closures to ensure minimum damage to the passengers.

As of now, there are no competitors for Bajaj Qute. If Nano was available, its entry-level variants would have come at a similar price.
