The 2019 Maruti Baleno RS comes right after the Baleno facelift which was launched in India earlier this year and comes with cosmetic alterations.
Maruti Suzuki had launched the mid-life update for its premium hatchback in India earlier this year. The update saw this hatchback get minor cosmetic updates along with a few additions and deletions to its feature list. The new Baleno came with an all-new design for the front bumper, a new set of alloy wheels, the introduction of a new infotainment system, along with the addition of some safety features.
Maruti Suzuki currently sells an RS variant of the Baleno in India. This edition is basically a hot-hatch iteration of this premium hatchback and comes with a more powerful petrol engine. The Indo-Japanese automaker has also updated the Baleno RS, though silently.

The 2019 Maruti Baleno RS has now started arriving at the automaker’s dealerships. Here we can see that just like the standard Baleno, the changed limited to the alteration are just cosmetic. Hence you get a completely redesigned front bumper. There is a completely redesigned rear bumper as well. Interestingly, the Baleno RS comes with the same set of alloy wheels as the standard Baleno.

On the inside, one can see that the Maruti Baleno RS is loaded with features. This is because of the fact that it is based on the top-spec, Alpha trim of this hatchback. Hence, it comes with a 7-inch smartplay infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls, a rearview camera. leather wrapped steering wheel to name a few. On the outside, you get LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights among other features.
Under the hood, the Maruti Baleno RS continues to offer the same engine option as before. It comes with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged unit which is capable of churning out 101 BHP of power along with 150 Nm of peak torque. Transmission responsibilities are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Maruti Baleno RS is priced at INR 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
