Speculations suggest that Hyundai QXi will be launched in May 2019. This will be the brand’s first C-SUV in India, which will also go to the global markets.
As we all know, Hyundai is gearing up to launch its first sub-compact SUV in India. Hyundai QXi or Styx is scheduled to launch this year, reportedly by May 2019. Based on media reports, it was scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2019.
Hyundai QXi has been spotted testing in India many times. Based on the spy photos, we say that it actually looks like a mini-version of Hyundai Creta. The styling bits from the facelifted Creta were clearly seen.
Most likely, Hyundai will unveil the SUV first at the New York International Auto Show in April. The SUV is also planned for the global markets as well.

The Hyundai C-SUV carries the cascading front grille, multi-level LED lights, the sculpted-boxy look and a raked windshield. QXi and the next-gen Grand i10 will be built on the same platform.
We expect Hyundai QXi to be equipped with a new 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder Turbocharged petrol engine, that is capable of delivering 100 BHP and 170 Nm of torque. This engine will come mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic unit.
The other engines will be borrowed from Hyundai Verna. The 1.4 Litre petrol unit produces 99 BHP and 132 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 1.4 Litre diesel engine delivers 89 BHP and 220 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Reports suggest that the QXi will also get a full-electric version sometime later. Hyundai is gradually bringing electric cars in India, starting with the Hyundai Kona EV. It has been spotted in India and will be launched in 2019.
Talking about the features, we expect Hyundai QXi to be equipped with top-end features, better than many of its competitors. Expect LED headlamps, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, an electric sunroof, Four disc brakes and more.
Our price expectations of the SUV range between Rs 8 Lakhs to Rs 11 Lakhs. It will be a bit overpriced than other SUVs in its comparison. If this is the price range, it will overlap some variants of Creta as well.
