Prices of TVS Apache RTR 160 ABS have been revealed. The updated bike costs Rs 84,700, making it costlier by Rs 6,000 than the non-ABS varia nt.
TVS Motors has updated the Apache RTR 160 with ABS, well ahead of the safety regulations date. The ABS variant is priced starting from Rs 84,700 up to Rs 87,719 (ex-showroom prices Delh).
RTR 160 uses a single-channel ABS unit, just like the RTR 160 4V. It is paired with a single-disc brake at the front and rear drum brake. ABS is also available on front and rear disc brake variant with Rear Lift Off protection (RLP).
TVS Apache 160 non-ABS variants are priced from Rs 79,370 to Rs 82,699 (ex-showroom). The price hike of Rs 6,000 is decent, when compared to its competitors. Dual-ABS setup demands a price hike of over Rs 10,000.

Apache RTR 160 ABS continues with the same 160cc air-cooled Two-valve engine, that is capable of producing 15 BHP at 8500 RPM and 13 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
For braking purposes now, it now comes with a standard 270mm roto petal disc brake and a drum brake at the back, as standard fitment. A rear 200mm disc is also available as an option.
Apache RTR 160 comes with telescopic forks with hydraulic dampers at the front and Monotube Inverted Gas-Filled shockups. The suspension has been tuned for a racing expereience.

Features onboard include LED position lamps, LED tail lights, Digital-analogue instrument cluster, Clip-on handlebars, adjustable brake pedals, adjustable gear lever and Roto Petal Disc brake.
Apache RTR 160 is available in 7 colour options – White Race, Black, Matte Grey, Red, White, Matte Red and Matte Blue. Matte colour options are the priciest of the lot.
RTR 160 competes with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ and Honda X Blade. Out of the lot, Pulsar 150 is yet to be updated with ABS officially.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V ABS has also been launched, for a starting price of Rs 92,645 going up to Rs 98,644 (ex-showroom).
