Royal Enfield 650 Twins have reported a 40% increase in the monthly sales, at 1069 units for the month of January. The bikes were launched in India in November 2018.
3 months in India and it is already riding on huge success. The Royal Enfield 650 Twins, again, have seen positive growth in the monthly sales. For January 2019, the figures have nearly risen by 40%.
For the month of January 2019, the Twins made 1069 units. In December 2018, Royal Enfield sold 629 units of the Duo. Even in the launch month, it showed an impressive 329 units sale.
The Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are the most premium bikes from the brand. The prices start off at Rs 2.5 Lakhs going up to Rs 2.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices).

For a premium and powerful bike like this, the initial sales have really hit off. It competes with KTM Duke 390, BMW G 310 R and the Honda CB300R. Duke 390 and G 310 R have posted much lower sales, comparatively.
The figures of Royal Enfield 650 Twins will keep increasing, as the full-scale deliveries will commence soon. Currently, the duo are experiencing a waiting period of up to 6 months, that too depending on the desired variant.
However, the company officials have confirmed that soon, the production speed will be doubled. From the current 2500 units per month, it will be increased up to 4500-5000 units per month.

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a old-school classic roadster, inspired by the original Interceptor. Continental GT 650 on the other hand, is a classic cafe racer offering the typical clip on handlebars and dedicated riding position.
The 650 Twins use a 648cc air-cooled parallel-twin cylinder engine, that is tuned to deliver 47 BHP and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Interceptor 650 comes in Mark Three, Orange Crush, Silver Spectre, Ravishing Red, Glitter and Dust (Chrome) and Baker Express paint jobs. GT 650 is offered in Black Magic, Dr Mayhem, Ice Queen, Ventura Blue and Mister Clean (Chrome).

The Interceptor is priced from Rs 2.5 Lakhs to Rs 2.7 Lakhs, the Standard colours being the cheapest and Chrome one being the costliest. GT 650 is priced from Rs 2.65 Lakhs to Rs 2.85 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).
