Ford Aspire sedan gets CNG-petrol option on the Ambiente and Trend plus variants. The prices have been hiked by Rs 42,000 on both the variants.
A couple of weeks back, we spotted Ford Aspire Blu (CNG) testing in India. A similar CNG variant of the upcoming Figo was spotted testing on the Indian roads. Now, Ford has finally launched the CNG version of its compact sedan.
Ford Aspire CNG is now available on Ambiente and Trend Plus petrol variants, priced at Rs 6.27 Lakhs and Rs 7.12 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The CNG variants are priced Rs 42,000 higher than the petrol variants.
CNG variants are growing popular because of their low fuel costs and also as an eco-friendly option. A lot of automotive brands like Mahindra, Maruti and Hyundai already have some of their popular models with CNG options.

The new Ford Aspire CNG has very low maintenance at just 46 paise per kilometre. The owners will have to get their CNG kits serviced every 2 years or 20,000
Ford aims to attract the taxi fleet operators more towards the Aspire CNG. Currently, Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Dzire taxi-fleet versions are also offered with factory-fitted CNG kits.
The CNG comes with the 1.2 Litre petrol engine. The engine is capable of delivering 95 BHP and 120 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This is the most powerful CNG car in this segment.

To accomodate the extra CNG cylinder weight, the Ford Aspire CNG gets a front stabilizer bar. It uses the new Sequential technology to ensure the perfect performance. The kit has been integrated with ECU to optimize the gas flow.
Features onboard include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth Connectivity, Satellite Navigation, Automatic AC, Internally adjustable ORVMs, adjustable headrests and Front Power windows.
Safety features include dual-airbags, ABS, EBD, Remote Center Locking, Rear parking sensors, Rear view camera and speed sensor door locking. The first in the segment again, to offer dual-airbags on the CNG variant.

The regular prices of Ford Aspire start from Rs 5.55 Lakhs to Rs 8.70 Lakhs for the petrol variant. The diesel variant starts from Rs 6.56 Lakhs up to Rs 8.25 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices).
