MG Motors might be considering to launch a compact SUV in India which is going to sit below the soon to be launched Hector SUV in its portfolio.
We are all well aware of the fact that MG Motors will launch their maiden product, a premium SUV named Hector, in India sometime during the second half of this year. This all-new offering from the Chinese owned British automaker is expected to be priced in-between the range of INR 14 lakh to INR 20 lakh. Despite falling in the said price segment, the exterior dimensions of this SUV quite clearly matchup to SUV placed in a segment above.
MG Motors have confirmed that after the launch of the Hector SUV, it is going to launch another utility vehicle in the Indian market. This vehicle, however, will not be powered by petrol or diesel since the same is going to be an all-electric offering. And hence, it is expected to fall in-between the price range of INR 20 lakh to INR 25 lakh.
In addition to these two SUVs, it seems that MG Motors is considering to launch another new utility vehicle in our country. A recent set of spy shots of a Boujun 510 compact SUV on Indian soil hints that the automaker might be considering to launch a new product which is might sit below the Hector in its portfolio for India.

The vehicle seen in the images seems to be a left-hand-drive one. Which means that the same is an international spec version brought to India for testing purposes.
If launched in India, the Boujun 510 will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta and the Nissan Kicks. There has bee a number of speculations regarding MG Motors considering a product to rival against the Hyundai Creta. However, until now, it was assumed to be the MG RX5 and not the Baojun 510.
