The 2019 Honda Civic is going to launch in India in a single top-spec variant available in petrol and diesel engine offering a CVT and MT respectively.
The 10th generation Honda Civic is all set to launch in India soon. It is expected to fall in-between the price range of INR 16 lakh to INR 20 lakh. Its debut will mark the re-entry of this executive sedan in India after a gap of almost 6 years. And this time around, for the time the first time, the Honda Civic is going to get petrol as well as a diesel engine option under the hood.
The petrol engine in the Civic is going to be a 1.8-litre, naturally aspirated unit. This engine is capable of churning out 140 BHP of power along with 174 Nm of peak torque. As standard, this engine will be paired to a CVT (continuously variable transmission).

In addition to this petrol engine, the 2019 Honda Civic is also going to get a 1.6-litre diesel engine. This is the same engine which made its debut with the Honda CR-V in India last year. This motor is capable of churning out 120 BHP of power along with 300 nm of peak torque. It comes paired as standard to a 6-speed manual transmission.
What this means is that the 10th generation Honda Civic is not going to offer a manul transmission with the petrol engine and an automatic transmission with the diesel engine. The petrol engine in this executive sedan promises to deliver 16.5 km/l of mileage while the diesel engine promises to deliver 26.8 km/l of mileage (ARAI certified).

In terms of its dimensions, the 2019 Honda Civic will measure 4,656 mm in length, 1,799 mm in width and 1,433 mm in height. This sedan has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The cargo space stands at 430-litres. The turning radius for this sedan stands at 5.85 mm.
The 2019 Honda Civic comes with Macpherson Structs up-front while the rear gets independent multi-link set-up. Both the front and the rear wheels come with disk brakes. And it comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.
