After the launch of the Harrier, Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Hexa crossover MPV across its entire variant line-up by up to INR 42,000.
Tata Motors has recently launched its all new premium SUV, the Harrier in the Indian market. Based on a platform which has been developed on Land Rover Discovery’s D8 architecture, the Harrier is priced in-between the range of INR 12.69 lakh to INR 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom), which is quite aggressive for the segment in which it falls in.
Right after the launch of the Harrier, Tata Motors has now increased the prices of the Hexa crossover MPV. The Hexa, which also fall in the same price range as that of the Harrier but is a 7-seater crossover MPV, now starts at a price of INR 12.99 lakh with its top-spec variant retailing at INR 18.16 lakh.

In comparison, before the launch of the Harrier, the Hexa used to fall in-between the price range of INR 12.57 lakh to INR 17.97 Lakh (ex-showroom). Going by this, we can clearly see that the base trim of the Hexa receives an increase in the price of almost INR 42,000. While the rest of the variants get an approximate increase of INR 19,000.
The Tata Hexa retails in India with a 2.2-litre, diesel engine available in two states of tune i.e. the VARICOR 320 and VARICOR 400. The former of these is available on the base spec trim and is capable of churning 150 BHP along with 320 Nm of peak torque. The later on the other hand is available on the rest of this vehicle’s trim levels and can produce 156 BHP along with 400 Nm of peak torque.

The VARICOR 320 engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the VARICOR 400 gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The Hexa can be had with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and also with a 4×4 system. In comparison, the Tata Harrier gets a 2.0-litre, diesel engine which is capable of churning out 140 BHP of power along with 350 NM of peak torque. The same only gets a 6-speed manual transmission and no four-wheel drive option as of now.
