2019 Yamaha FZ V3 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. It gets a new styling, additional features and most importantly, ABS too.
Yamaha India has finally launched the FZ and FZ-S V3 in India. For the past few months, it was spotted testing and a week earlier, was also spotted at dealerships.
Yamaha FZ V3 gets new styling cues, new features onboard and ABS, in order to adhere to the upcoming safety regulations. FZ V3 has been priced at Rs 95,000 and FZ-S V3 goes for Rs 97,000(ex-showroom).
Talking about the features, Yamaha FZ V3 gets a new LCD meter, LED headlight, Singe Step up Seat, One-piece grab rail and single-channel ABS setup. The engine continues with fuel injection system.

Cosmetic upgrades include a revised and more aggressive headlamp styling, bolder front forks, new multi-spoke alloy wheels, more muscular fuel tank and tank shrouds, engine cowl and a sporty step up seat.
The handlebar has been raised up by 22mm to offer a better seating style. Yamaha FZ V3 also gets 140mm radial tires for better grip. The exhaust mufler gets a silver brush finish. Summing up, Yamaha FZ V3 and FZ-S V3 are now much sportier and more premium looking motorcycles.
Yamaha FZ V3 now looks similar to the elder sibling, Yamaha FZ25. The styling cues and the silhouette are quite similar.
Safety upgrades now include single and rear disc brakes with single-channel Bosch ABS. The premium ABS setup is also found in KTM motorcycles.

Yamaha FZ V3 continues with the same engine setup. It gets the 149cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine that produces 13 BHP and 12.8 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Yamaha says that the Fuel-injected engine has been improved for a better low-end torque generation.
Yamaha FZ V3 comes in 2 colour options – Metric Black and Racing Blue. FZ-S V3 gets 3 colour options – Matt Black, Dark Matt Black and Gray and Cyan Blue.
Yamaha India has hiked the prices of FZ V3 by Rs 13,000. The prices of FZ-S V3 has increased by Rs 9,000.
Yamaha FZ V3 competes with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Honda CB Hornet 160R, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and Suzuki Gixxer. FZ-V3 is now the costliest in its segment.

Meanwhile, Yamaha has also updated Fazer25 and FZ25 with dual-channel ABS. Fazer 25 now goes for Rs 1.43 Lakhs and FZ25 goes for Rs 1.33 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).
