The top-end variant of the Mahindra XUV300 is going to quite feature rich and can easily compete with the some variants of the Hyundai Creta.

That said, in the official statement announcing the commencement of bookings of the Mahindra XUV300, the automaker also revealed some of the features and creature comforts that the same is going to offer. Considering this list of equipment and the variant across which they are distributed, there is a clear indication that the XUV 300 is not just aimed at reaping the benefits from the sub-compact SUV segment but also from a segment above.

Elaborating on this, the Mahindra XUV300 will retail in India in a total of three trim levels i.e. M4, M6 and M8. Right from the base variant onwards, one is to get features such as rear disk brakes, dual airbags, ABS, steering mounted audio controls, power windows on all doors along with climate control and rear parking sensors.

The top-end M8 variant is going to come with features such as automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car play, automatic climate control among others. With this feature list and then some more, the XUV300 is going to stand as quite strong players, especially in terms of its features, against the competition.

In addition to the top-spec trim, the Mahindra XUV300 will also have an additional optional variant above it. This trim level will have all the features of the top-spec trim and then some more. For instance, this M8 (O) will have 7-airbags, dual-zone automatic climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, sunroof and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

This optional trim level is likely to cost close to the mark of INR 11 lakh (ex-showroom). And hence, is going to compete with some of the mid-spec variants of the Hyundai Creta.

The Mahindra XUV300 is going to launch in India with both petrol as well as diesel engine options under its hood. The petrol derivative is going to come with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine while the diesel is going to get a 1.5-litre unit. Both these engines are going to come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
