Prices of Renault Captur have been reduced by up to Rs 81,000, as per the variants. Renault is also offering benefits on certain variants.
Renault India has given a price cut on its most premium SUV, Captur. The prices have been slashed between Rs 41,000 to Rs 81,000 depending on the variant.
The price of RXT petrol dual-tone variant has been decreased by Rs 41,000. It is now priced at Rs 11.46 Lakhs, which was earlier Rs 11.87 Lakhs. RXT diesel dual-tone variant sees a Rs 61,000 price cut. The earlier price of Rs 13.28 Lakhs has gone down to Rs 12.67 Lakhs.
The top-spec Pristine diesel also sees a price cut. The variant is now priced at Rs 13.25 Lakhs, seeing a price cut of Rs 81,000 from Rs 14.06 Lakhs.

The lower end RXE and RXL variants in petrol and diesel guise continue with the same pricing. The Renault Captur is now priced between Rs 10 Lakhs to Rs 13.25 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
We believe that the price cut has come to take on the upcoming heat from Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks. Both the SUVs are launching by the end of this month. Also, both of them have established their arrival with some unique cues.

On the other hand, Tata Harrier is also a formidable SUV. Although, its prices are expected to be little higher than Renault Captur. Harrier is Tata’s flagship SUV and is also most premium one from their stable.
Renault Captur also competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Creta is the best selling in its segment, despite having an upward of Rs 1-2 Lakhs. Maruti S-Cross is a slow performer for the brand.
Captur gets a 1.5 Litre petrol and a 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 106 BHP and 142 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 110 BHP and 240 Nm of peak torque.

For transmission purposes, the petrol engine gets a 5-speed gearbox and the diesel one gets a 6-speed manual unit. No Automatic Transmission is offered on the SUV.
