Royal Enfield Bullet 500 has also received ABS finally. Additionally, the non-ABS variants of every RE model have been removed from the website.
Royal Enfield has updated one of the last remaining models in its lineup with ABS. Bullet 500 ABS has been launched silently in the market at a price of Rs 1.86 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield Bullet gets a single-channel ABS unlike other RE models, which get a dual-channel ABS. Bullet 500 is equipped with a 276mm disc brake at the front and 153mm drum brake at the back.
There has been no official notification from Royal Enfield about this. You get to know prices of the ABS variant, when you try to book the bike online. After selecting the state, city and dealer, you can choose which variant along with its prices.

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 comes in Green and Black colour. The prices of both the colours with ABS is same.
Bullet 500 is a legendary motorcycle and also one of the earliest Royal Enfield motorcycles to debut in India. Even after so many years, not much has changed for the Bullet.
Other than the addition of ABS, there are no updates on the motorcycle. Royal Enfield Bullet 500 gets a 499cc air-cooled Fuel injection engine, which is quite old. The engine produces 27.2 BHP and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with wet multi-plate clutch.

Bullet gets 35mm telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers with adjustable pre-load at the back. It weighs 194 Kgs, making it one of the heaviest RE motorcycles.
Royal Enfield Bullet 500 is the least selling bike in the stable. For the month of November 2018, it has only made 108 units. Even in November 2017, it made a mere sale of 377 units.
Over time, it has grown too old now. Most of the RE owners are now youngsters, with a knack for the iconic ‘Dug-Dug’. So, most of them prefer Classic 350 because of its modern-retro appeal.

The Royal Enfield 650 Twins have also made a grand entry now. Within few months, the Twins will start making big numbers on the charts.
