Nissan Kicks crossover is expected to launch in India by the end of January 2019. Prices will range in-between INR 10 lakh to INR 15 lakh.
In order to compete in the highly lucrative compact SUV segment as well as refresh its outdated portfolio, Nissan India is going to launch the all-new Kicks crossover in India sometime during the end of January 2019. Based on the same platform as that of the Nissan Terrano, the Kicks crossover will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and its French counterpart, the Renault Duster.
Ahead of its launch which is scheduled for this month end, units of the Nissan Kicks have already started reaching dealerships across India. It is about time that the Japanese automaker reveals the official launch date of this vehicle. This compact crossover, which came across as a very credible package, has a lot resting on its shoulders. You see, Nissan’s current portfolio in India is slowly but surely going out of date in the wake of increasing competition. And hence, buyers have started to shy away from the brand resulting in dwindling sales.

The Nissan Kicks, set to compete in a highly sort after segment at the moment, is going to help the brand bring customers back in its dealership from which they have been gone since a long time. And to make sure that this all-new product attracts them and attracts them in good numbers, Nissan has loaded it with everything and then some more when it comes to features and creature comforts.

Based on the same underpinnings and mechanical of the Terrano, the Kicks manages to offer a very comfortable ride quality. And with the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine duo, we were also impressed by its drivability aspect.
The Kicks measures 4,384 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,656 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,673 mm along with a ground clearance of 210 mm while the boot space stands at 400-litres. With these measurements, it is the biggest amongst the competition and hence offers more room on the inside. If Nissan prices this well, it will for sure have a good chance of succeeding in its mission i.e. bringing Nissan back on the map in our country.
