Bajaj Dominar will soon receive a facelift with some mechanical changes. Fresh reports say that the updated version might launch by the end of January.
We have spotted the updated 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 testing on road couple of times. Sometimes, the test mule was under heavy camouflage, sometimes fully undisguised.
Most likely, the updated Dominar will receive few mechanical updates. These mechanical updates are aimed towards improving the performance and riding manners of Dominar.
Fresh reports suggest that Bajaj Dominar 400 facelift will be launched by the end of this month. Most likely, the bike will also receive BS-6 engines. The emission norms are scheduled to kick in from April 2020.

The spotted test mule of 2019 Dominar gets Upside-Down Telescopic forks instead of the conventional forks. Twin Exhaust mufflers can be seen on the bike. It also gets a different set of catalytic converter.
Dominar has a cool fully digital instrument cluster, which is very informative. However, the 2019 version will get a revised instrument cluster which shows side stand indicator. The positions of gear-shift indicator, fuel gauge and the odometer will also be changed.
In an earlier speculation, it was said that the facelifted Bajaj Dominar might be more powerful. For this, we believe that Dominar might get a more refined engine with the same power figures.

Bajaj has borrowed Duke 390’s engine for Dominar. The power cruiser gets a 373cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 35 BHP and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Since Dominar already comes equipped with ABS, there will be no changes to the braking system. The non-ABS variant of Dominar has already been stopped. The bike gets a 320mm disc at front and a 220mm disc at the back, paired with a dual-channel ABS.
As per our expectations, 2019 Bajaj Dominar will demand a hike of around Rs 15,000. Already, we have seen three price hikes of the bike. Currently, it is priced at Rs 1.64 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Recent sales figures show that Dominar’s sales in decreasing rapidly. Now, on a monthly basis, it sells around 100-200 units.
