Ahead of the upcoming safety norms from April 2019, we have compiled a list of motorcycles with ABS under the budget of Rs 1.5 Lakhs.
All two-wheeler brands are gearing up to launch their ABS updated models in the market. Many of the brands like Royal Enfield and Suzuki are already on board with most of their models updated with ABS.
For the past 2-3 months, regular spy pics of motorcycles with ABS are coming up. Many of them have been launched silently in the market.
Bikes which are over Rs 2 Lakhs are considered as premium motorcycles. These bikes come with ABS equipped as standard fitmet . Under this budget, there are commuter as well as entry-level performance bikes.
So check out the list of motorcycles with ABS ahead.
Motorcycles with ABS under Rs 90,000
Suzuki Gixxer ABS
Suzuki Motorcycles India updated the Gixxer long back. It is the cheapest motorcycle with ABS feature. Gixxer features a single-channel ABS. It is priced at Rs 87,000 (ex-showroom).
Gixxer gets a 155cc single-cylinder engine that produces 14.8 BHP and 14 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Honda X-Blade ABS
HMSI recently updated X-Blade with a single-channel ABS. Honda X-Blade falls amongst the three 160cc motorcycles from Honda. It sits below CB Hornet 160R and above CB Unicorn 160. ABS variant goes for Rs 87,776 (ex-showroom).
X-Blade comes with a 162cc HET engine that puts out 14.9 BHP and 14.5 Nm of peak torque. The bike comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox setup.

Hero Xtreme 200R
Xtreme 200R is the most affordable 200cc motorcycle. Hero’s latest offering comes with a single-channel ABS as standard fitment. Its competitors like TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 come with optional ABS. Xtreme 200R is priced at Rs 89,990 (Ex-showroom).
Xtreme 200R gets a 199.5cc air-cooled engine that puts out 18.5 BHP and 17.1 Nm of peak torque. Sadly, being a 200cc motorcycle, it still comes with a 5-speed gearbox.

Motorcycles with ABS under Rs 1.2 Lakhs
Honda CB Hornet 160R ABS
Hornet 160R comes with a single-channel ABS on the top-end variant. It is the most premium 160cc offering from Honda. Like Gixxer, it is the only other 160cc motorcycle that offers ABS. Hornet 160R ABS goes for Rs 93,943 (ex-showroom).
Hornet 160R comes with a 162cc HET engine, the same unit from X-Blade. The engine puts out 14.9 BHP and 14.5 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS
When the old-gen Apache RTR was launched, TVS equipped the top-end RTR 180 with ABS. So, it is one of the earliest ones under Rs 1 Lakhs to come with ABS. Just like others, RTR 180 also gets a dual-channel ABS. It is priced at Rs 95,400 (ex-showroom).
RTR 180 gets a 177.4cc air-cooled engine that produces 16.6 BHP and 15.8 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox setup.

Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS
Gixxer SF is the sportsbike/semi-fairing version of the Gixxer motorcycle. It gets the same engine and same mechanicals underneath. With Gixxer, Gixxer SF also received ABS. It comes with a price tag of Rs 97,007 (ex-showroom).
Gixxer SF comes with a 155cc air-cooled engine that puts out 14.8 BHP and 14 Nm of peak torque. The bike comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox setup.

Suzuki Intruder ABS
Now this an unusual looking cruiser, or call it a Modern cruiser. Suzuki Intruder takes design inspirations from its elder sibling, the 1200cc Intruder. Intruder comes with a single-channel ABS as standard fitment. It is priced at Rs 99,995 (ex-showroom).
Just like Gixxer and Gixxer SF, Intruder also gets the same 155cc engine. The power figures stay same at 14.8 BHP and 14 Nm. The same gearbox setup also continues.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Apache RTR 200 4V was introduced in 2017 and since then the ABS variant has been on sale. RTR 200 comes with a dual-channel ABS as an option. Dual-channel ABS is obviously more appreciated than a single-channel unit. The ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.1 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Apache RTR 200 gets a 199cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It puts out 21 BHP and 18.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200
Bajaj Auto is lagging behind in terms of ABS updates. Although recent news says that the entire Pulsar and Avenger range will be updated soon. Pulsar NS200 was the earliest ones to get ABS as an option. The naked 200cc Pulsar gets dual-channel ABS as an option. It is priced at Rs 1.12 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
Pulsar NS200 and RS200 borrow their engines from the Duke 200. However, Bajaj does some tuning for better road manners. NS200 produces 24.5 BHP and 18.6 Nm of peak torque. The power figures are not that lower than Duke 200. NS200 also uses a 6-speed gearbox.

KTM Duke 125
KTM’s latest offering, the baby Duke 125 also comes with a single-channel ABS unit. It is the first 125cc motorcycle to offer ABS and much more other racing equipment. It competes with the likes of Yamaha R15 V3, Pulsar NS200 and Apache RTR 200 4V. Duke 125 is priced at Rs 1.18 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Duke 125 gets a 124.6cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 15 BHP and 14 Nm of peak torque. The figures may seem low, but the engine is quite juicy to show off. The bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox setup.

Motorcycles with ABS under Rs 1.5 Lakhs
Royal Enfield Classic 350
Royal Enfield started updating its entire range from October last year. Classic 350 gets a dual-channel ABS on all the variants.
By now, it has almost covered all the variants in the lineup, except RE Bullet 350 and 500. Although the standard colours do not get ABS, rest of the colours – Redditch, Signals and other variants
Classic 350 uses the same old 346cc air-cooled engine that thumps out 19.1 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox onboard is a 5-speed unit.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200
Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the semi-faired sportsbike version of the NS200. Both share the same engine, same suspension and even the same alloy wheels. The only difference is the riding purpose, which for RS 200 is performance and for NS200 is comfortable touring.
This Pulsar comes with a dual-channel ABS on-board. RS200 is the most expensive Pulsar on-board, at a price of Rs 1.39 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
It gets a 200cc engine that produces 24.5 BHP and 18.6 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350
RE Thunderbird is the true cruiser on their lineup and not the Classic and Bullet series. Thunderbird 350 was one of the last ones in the lineup to be updated. Just like other RE motorcycles, it also gets a dual-channel ABS support.
Thunderbird 350 ABS is priced at Rs 1.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
It gets a 346cc air-cooled engine that produces 19.1 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox setup.
So here is the list of motorcycles under Rs 1.5 Lakhs that come equipped with ABS. Motorcycles above 125cc will get ABS and post-April, the non-ABS variants would not be available.
