A recent set of spy images reveal that even the base variant of the upcoming Mahindra XUV 300 SUV offers quite a decent feature list.
The Mahindra XUV 300 will arrive in India during the first half of February this year. Ahead of its official launch, this upcoming subcompact SUV has been a constant topic of discussion as by the looks of it, it may just turn out to be a genuine threat to the current segment leader, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza!
Now one of the major reasons why we think the XUV 300 will attract a good some of the buyers towards itself is because of its expansive feature list. Not only does it come with a comparable set of features but it also has a few in its list that even surpass cars which are placed in a segment above. That said, most of these features and creature comforts are available on the top-spec trim of this SUV. Or is that so?

On the inside, though the base variant misses out on a touchscreen infotainment system and a sunroof, it still features a 2-DIN audio system with music and telephony controls over the steering wheel. From what it looks like, it even comes with a single zone climate control with front defogger.

The petrol derivative is likely to be a 1.2-litre, turbocharged unit while the diesel engine is going to be a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder unit. At the time of its launch, the XUV 300 will retail with just a 6-speed manual gearbox in its portfolio. An AMT gearbox will join the ranks at a later stage.
