For the month of December 2018, Honda Amaze clocked a sales figure of 5,565 units. While during the same month last year the number stood at 1,415.
The second generation update given to the Honda Amaze is currently doing wonders for the Japanese automaker in India. For the year 2018, this compact sedan was at the top of the list of the most searched cars and has been garnering decent sales for the brand since its launch earlier last year. During the month of December 2018, a total of 5,565 units of this compact sedan were dispatched the the dealers in comparison to 1,415 units during December 2017.
As a result of this, the sales of Honda Amaze during December 2018 have observed an increase of 293% over the sales of this vehicle during the same month in 2017.

The Honda Amaze is currently running in its second generation iteration in India. With this generation update, this compact sedan has received major changes across a number of different parameters which help it stand stronger against its competition. Honda’s offering competes directly against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire which, on an average, clocks a monthly sales figure of around 16,000 units.

With this second generation update, the Honda Amaze comes with an all-new exterior as well as interior design. In addition to this, it features a considerable increase in its feature list as well. Top-spec variants come with features such as LED daytime running lights, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, leather-wrapped steering wheel among others.

In terms of safety, the Amaze comes with dual-airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard fitment along with rear parking sensors.
The Honda Amaze currently retails in India in both petrol as well as diesel engine configurations. The petrol derivative is going to be a 1.2-litre i-VTEC unit while the diesel engine is a 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual for the petrol 6-speed manual for the diesel and a CVT automatic for the petrol variant. Prices for this compact sedan falls in-between the range of INR 5.81 lakh to INR 9.11 lakh.
