Toyota India has launched the new 2012 Toyota Camry in India on 24th August 2012 in New Delhi India. Camry has not seem much of action in terms of sales numbers for Toyota India in past sometime. One of the reasons for the same is that it has been quite some time when the Camry was refreshed in India and it looks slightly dated compared to the competition in its price segment. Another disadvantage for Camry was higher pricing because it is imported into India as a CBU which attracts heavy taxes and duties. The new Camry is locally assembled so it has been priced quite aggressively at Rs. 23.80 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi which is the introductory price. At this price Camry will challenge the competitors better now.
Toyota Camry 2012 new model is already developed and launched in the western countries. The interesting fact is that there is a USA version and a global European version of Toyota Camry with slightly different looks and specifications on the offer. As of now, Toyota has launched the new Camry with a petrol powertrain only which is a 2.5 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine with dual-VVTI Technology, there is no diesel model of the 2012 Camry on the offer in India.

The new global Camry is a more elegant looking car with sophisticated style and touch of sharp styling.
