Aprilia SR 150 and Vespa 150 ABS units have already been dispatched tothe dealers. The prices range from Rs 81,000 to Rs 1.09 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The updated units of Aprilia SR 150 ABS and Vespa 150 ABS have started reaching dealerships. The company has made a silent launch of the same. All the 150cc scooters in the stable get a single-channel ABS setup.
The prices start off at Rs 81,000 for SR 150 ABS, Rs 83,000 for Carbon ABS and Rs 90,000 for SR 150 Race ABS. For Vespa, the VXL 150 ABS is priced at Rs 98,000, SXL 150 ABS goes for Rs 1.03 Lakhs, SXL 150 Red for Rs 1.04 Lakhs and 150 Elegante for Rs 1.09 Lakhs.
Post-2019, the non-ABS variants will no longer be produced. Vespa has 3 150cc scooters and Aprilia has 2 of them.

As of now, the Aprilia SR 150 is priced at Rs 71,614 and Race Edition goes for Rs 81,798 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, Vespa SXL 150 goes for Rs 85,960, VXL 150 goes for Rs 81,490 and Elegant 150 goes for Rs 1.01 Lakhs.
Some spy shots of the updated models have also surfaced online. SR 150 and all Vespa 150 scooters get a single-channel ABS set up with the single disc brake at the front. At the back, the scooters use a drum brake.
Single-channel ABS comes as an affordable option, rather than the dual setup. Single ABS prevents locking the front wheel, which is better than both the brakes.
Vespa 150 scooters use a 150cc engine that produces 11.06 BHP and 11.5 Nm of peak torque. SR 150 produces lesser power at 10.4 BHP and 11.4 Nm of torque.

Both the scooters offer an estimated mileage or 40 kmpl. With the fuel capacity of 8 Litres offered on Vespa, the riding range goes up to around 320 kms. Aprilia SR 150 offers a fuel tank capacity of 6.5 Litres, which makes the riding range of around 250 kms.
Both the scooters use a hydraulic double telescopic fork at the front and hydraulic shock absorber at the back.
However, Piaggio scooters offer a little less technology. It comes with the basic features that come in other 110cc and 125cc scooters.
However, the main demand for these scooters is because of their legendary styling cues. While Vespa follows a retro-classic look, SR 150 gets a racing scooter look.

Meanwhile, Yamaha is also planning to launch a 150cc scooter. Yamaha NMax was showcased at some dealerships and is rumoured to launch in India. In the South East Asian markets, NMax 150 is a popular scooter.
