Renault RBC 7-seater has been spotted yet again in this video. The 2018 Maruti Ertiga-rival will be exclusively made for the Indian market. It is based on the extended CMF-A+ platform of Renault Kwid.
The Renault RBC MPV 7-Seater is expected to launch in India sometime during the first half of 2019. This all-new vehicle has been developed in India and for the Indian market only. It will compete in the budget MPV segment i.e. it will fall in-between the price range of INR 7 lakh to 11 lakh.
With this, the Renault RBC’s main competition is going to be with the likes of the recently launched 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Earlier there were speculations that this new Renault MPV is going to measure under 4-meters. Consequently, rival against the likes of Datsun Go Plus.

However, in light of the recent spy shots of the Renault RBC’s test mule, we can tell you in confidence that this vehicle will measure above 4-meters in lenght. In fact, there are chances that it may even be larger than its main competition, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
From what we can see in these highly camouflaged images, the Renault RBC MPV comes with the automaker’s global design language. As a part of this, it will get large and sleek, sweptback headlamps and a large grille on its front fascia.

Inside, expect this people carrier to come with features such a automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls among other creature comforts.
Since this MPV comes is going to launch in India during the year 2019, it comes to India right ahead of the implementation of the new safety and emission regulations.

As a result of this, it will feature standard safety equipment such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD along with ISOFIX child-seat anchorage and rear parking sensors as standard.

Hence the petrol derivative will get a 1.5-litre unit producing 106 BHP along with 145 Nm of peak torque. Along with this, the diesel derivative is going to come with a 1.5-litre unit churning out 110 BHP along with 240 Nm of peak torque.

Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual transmission as well as an automated manual transmission unit. Prices for the new Renault RBC MPV will fall in-between the range of INR 7 lakh to INR 10 lakh.
