Out of the 4 planned motorcycles, Hero is apparently launching a fully-faired Karizma by the end of 2019. The current Karizma is barely making any sales.
Hero Karizma was first launched in India back in 2003. Amidst the popularity of Pulsar, this semi-faired bike came as a near sportsbike, which led to its instant popularity.
Now, due to the growing competition and upgrades in form of latest features has affected the sales of this bike. It barely garners any sales. Last month, it was unsold across the country.

Recently, we reported that Hero plans to launch 4 new motorcycles by 2020. The first one on the list is the Hero Xtreme 200R, followed by Hero Xpulse 200 and 200T. However, no confirmation stands on the last remaining model.
Rumours suggest that Hero might launch the XF3R 300cc naked motorcycle, which was showcased at the Auto Expo. Fresh set of reports suggest that the two-wheeler brand is planning to work on a new fully-faired 200cc motorcycle.
The same report suggests that Hero might relaunch it as the Karizma by the end of 2019. To be clear, the first model was called Karizma and the current one gets a suffix ‘ZMR’. However, even now, it is simply called as Karizma.

The new Karizma will use Xtreme 200R’s engine, in an even racier state. Also, it will get a fully-faired body instead of the current semi-faired body. The same diamond-frame on Xtreme will build the next-gen Karizma.
It will be offered with a 200cc air-cooled engine that produces 18.4 BHP and 17.1 Nm of torque. Unlike Xtreme 200R, 2019 Hero Karizma will a 6-speed gearbox setup.
The 2019 version will continue with the 276mm disc at the front and 220mm disc at the end. Along with this, it might get a single-channel ABS setup too.
Features onboard would include a fully-digital instrument cluster, fuel-injection system, LED headlamps and a tall windscreen. Let’s hope that the digital cluster displays information such as average fuel economy, lap timer and average speed.

Now, Karizma competes with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 220F. However, the improved one would be promoted to a bigger league. It might then compete with Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Yamaha YZF R15 V3.
The prices might be around Rs 1.10
