Yamaha Saluto RX and 125 get Unified Braking system, which is another name for Centralized Braking System. The prices have increased by Rs 3000 – 4000 on each variant.
Yamaha has introduced Centralized Braking System in its 110cc and 125cc commuter motorcycles. Yamaha Saluto RX and 125 get UBS. The prices start at Rs 52,000 going up to Rs 61,500 (ex-showroom).
UBS (Unified Braking System) refers to the process when the rear brake is applied fully, the front brake is also applied partially. Yamaha has intensified its motorcycles under 125cc with UBS for better braking power.
As per the government’s upcoming safety norms, all two-wheelers under 125cc must be equipped with the centralized/synchronized braking system. Two-wheelers above 125cc should be equipped with Anti-Braking System.
Gradually, all the two-wheelers will be updated before the safety norms kick in from April 2019. Some bike manufacturers have already introduced the updated models in India.

Yamaha Saluto RX is the entry-level 110cc motorcycle from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. The 110cc air-cooled engine produces 7.5 BHP and 8.5 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox.

Yamaha Saluto 125 comes in two variants – Drum Brake and Front Disc brake. It gets a 125cc air-cooled engine that produces 8.3 BHP and 10.1 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
Features onboard Saluto 125 include Halogen headlamps, front disc brake, tubeless tires, turn-signals with clear lens, front cowl with windscreen and an easy-to-read instrument cluster.
Both the bikes use the same suspension setup. They use telescopic forks at the front and pre-load adjustable
Yamaha Saluto RX competes with the likes of Hero Splendor, TVS Radeon, Bajaj Platina and Honda Dream Yuga. On the other hand, Yamaha Saluto 125 competes with Hero Super Splendor, Honda Shine 125 and Bajaj Discover 125.

Yamaha India is also updating its other two-wheelers as per the upcoming regulations. The next-gen of Yamaha FZ-S FI with ABS has been spotted testing already. R15 V3 is also due to get ABS, which it might get by mid-2019.
