In October, Nissan India showcased the exteriors of Kicks officially. It does not look different from the global-spec Kicks. The curvy-shape, high wheel arches and fun-looking style all remain the same.
Exterior features onboard include LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, front fog lamp, electric ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, roof rails, shark fin antenna and diamond cut alloy wheels.
As per rumours, Nissan Kicks will sport many segment first features. It is likely to get a 360-degrees camera. The cameras can be switched on anytime and will be placed on the front, rear and wing mirrors.
It is also rumoured to get a telematics-enabled smartwatch, semi-digital instrument cluster with integrated GPS navigation and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard fitments. With these features onboard, it will provide a tough competition to Creta.

Nissan Kicks will come with a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, borrowed from Terrano. The petrol engine produces 110 BHP and 150 Nm of peak torque. The diesel unit cranks out 108 BHP and 250 Nm of peak torque.
It is most likely to get a manual and automatic transmission for both petrol and diesel engines. A 5-speed Manual is expected to come on the petrol variant, whereas the diesel one might get a 6-speed unit.
We believe Kicks will get a slightly retuned engine for more powerful figures. Also, the SUV is expected to get BS-6 engines. The emission norms are set to kick in from April 2020. If it gets a BS-4 engine now, the cost of upgrading within a year will be expensive.
