Here are the first interior spy pics of the upcoming Mahindra S201 compact SUV. Its interior looks very identical to the Ssangyong Tivoli with 1-2 differences. The SUV is launching by early 2019.
After the launch of highly anticipated Mahindra Alturas and Marazzo, the next down the list of Mahindra S201. The compact SUV will launch in early 2019, as the production version has already been spied.
So, here are the first interior spy shots of the upcoming S201. Reports say that Mahindra XUV 300 might be the name of this SUV. XUV 500 sports a monocoque chassis, which will also come in this SUV. Since both of them use the same chassis setup, the naming might fit right in.
S201 is based on Ssangyong Tivoli and is literally a rebadged version of it. The interiors confirm the rebadging and almost every highlight of the interior looks from Tivoli. The changes are seen in the instrument cluster, cabin colour layout and the steering wheel.

The cabin follows a dual-tone black-beige colour combination. The seats also receive a beige colour upholstery. It gets Mahindra’s waterfall design, which is seen in XUV 500.
In the centre space, it gets an integrated touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Another notable thing on the centre unit is the dual-zone climate control, which is a segment first feature.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel gets audio and telephony controls and the possibility of cruise control option. Seems like Mahindra S201 will come with a plethora of storage spaces. Mobile and documents storage area below the AC vents and on the centre storage seems to be just fine.

Other feature additions on the Mahindra S201 will include cruise control, Auto headlamps, Electric Sunroof, Dual-zone Climate control, auto dimming IRVM, Electric ORVMs and USB charging points for both the rows.
Safety features onboard will include rear parking sensors, rear view camera, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA and ISOFIX mounts.
With the interior spy shots, there are photos of its exterior as well. Although the SUV is camouflaged, we can spot the LED DRLs and production guise alloy wheels. At the rear, the hunchback seems to be put in to classify it as a sub-4 metre SUV.
Mahindra S201 will most likely use the 1.2 Litre turbo petrol engine that produces 135 BHP of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. Mahindra will also equip it with Marazzo’s diesel engine. The 1.5 Litre diesel unit puts out 121 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque.

For transmission purpose, it might use a manual transmission along with the optional 6-speed Automatic unit.
Mahindra S201 will go against the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
