Tata Harrier is scheduled to launch in January 2019. Ahead of the launch, many teasers of the SUV have come up. Here are the 5 cool features that the SUV comes with.
As the launch is ticking near, we are getting knowledge of its and bits of Tata Harrier. The latest teaser shows that it gets a 6-speed manual gearbox with the lifting-up reverse option. The gearbox is paired with a 2.0 Litre KYROTEC diesel engine.
The engine is basically a rebadged version of Fiat Multijet 2.0 Litre engine. The engine cranks out 140 BHP and 350 Nm of peak torque.
Tata Harrier is based on Land Rover’s D8 platform but uses localized parts with the platform. It also follows the new Impact 2.0 Design language, which makes it look quite refreshed.

Harrier is expected to be priced starting from Rs 14 Lakhs up to Rs 19 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices). It will take on the likes of Jeep Compass, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Creta.

1. Terrain Response System
Tata Harrier will sport a Terrain Response system, which can be changeable. The SUV comes with 3 response modes and the drivers can choose between Auto, Rain and Rough Roads. Additionally, the system also comes with Electronic Stability Program and Hill Descent Control.

2. Dual Digital Screens
Going by the spy images, Tata Harrier will get Two Digital screens. First, it will come with an 8.8-inch large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, it also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer. The instrument cluster will display information such as music, turn-by-turn navigation, advanced telematics, tyre pressure monitor, distance to empty and more.
Moreover, it will share most of the information that is displayed on the touchscreen infotainment, so that the view of the driver does not deviate.
3. State-of-the-art JBL Sound System
Harrier will use JBL’s state-of-the-start 10-speaker setup. The same setup is done in Hexa paired with a Harmon Kardon infotainment unit. We are not sure if Harmon Kardon unit will also come on the Harrier. The sound system setup also includes a subwoofer setup.

4. Puddle Lamp
Just to make things fancy, Tata Harrier will sport a puddle lamp. The lamp displays a sketch of the Harrier, which was released a couple of months back ago.
Puddle Lamps are placed below the ORVMs and automatically switch on as you open the door.
5. Cooled Armrest Storage
The latest teaser shows that Harrier gets a cooled storage area right beneath the centre armrest. The cooled area can fit two drinks at a time with a couple of eatables. Cooled Armrest Storage is a segment first feature, as most of the cars used cooled glove box on the dashboard.
