To suffice the increasing demand, production of Maruti Vitara Brezza has been ramped up. The production has increased by 10% to 94,000 units. Brezza is the highest selling compact SUV in India.
Maruti Vitara Brezza is amongst the top-selling cars of the country. It has clocked the fastest 3 Lakh sales mark in the SUV segment in just 28 months. In 2017-18, it garnered over 1.48 Lakh units and around 94,000 units between April-October.
Owing to the increasing demand, Maruti has increased Brezza’s production by 10%. Total production figures go as high to 2.5 Lakh units annually.
As of now, the total cumulative sales have reached 3.57 Lakh units since its launch in 2017. Recently, it got a mild feature upgrade and the addition of optional Auto Gear Shift.

The main reason for the success of Maruti Vitara Brezza is primarily because of its boxy SUV looks, fuel-efficient engine and feature equipped cabin. Plus Maruti’s name adds up to its popularity more than ever.
Maruti Vitara Brezza comes with a 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine, which is found in all of the other Maruti cars. The Fiat-sourced engine produces 88 BHP and 200 Nm of peak torque. For transmission purposes, it uses a 5-speed manual gearbox with an optional 5-speed AMT gearbox.
The Vitara Brezza delivers a claimed mileage of 25 kmpl, which is quite efficient. In real-world conditions, the average falls down to 20 kmpl.

Reports suggest that Brezza will soon get a petrol engine. It might use the new 1.5 Litre petrol engine with a mild-hybrid SHVS system. There are chances of the launch in 2019. However, the new engine will be BS-6 compliant, which right now is not.
The Vitara Brezza comes with features such as projector headlamps, SmartPlay Infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Cruise Control, Steering mounted audio controls, Keyless Entry System, Auto AC, Rain-Sensing Auto Wipers, Auto Headlamps and more.
For safety purposes, it comes equipped with Dual Front Airbags, Reverse Parking Sensors, Rear view camera, ABS with EBD, High-Speed warning alert, Rear Wiper and Washer and ISOFIX. Maruti Vitara Brezza uses Suzuki HEARTECT platform, which is lighter and stronger than earlier used platforms.

The prices of Marut Vitara Brezza start off at Rs 7.58 Lakhs up to Rs 10.33 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Brezza competes with the likes of Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. Amongst the SUVs, it is the highest selling model right from its launch. Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport follow it with a very wide gap.
