Hyundai Palisade will be the new 7-seater SUV, which will be unveiled at 2019 LA Motorshow. It will be the largest Hyundai model globally. The leaked clear image shows its front 3/4th exterior.
In the global lineup, Hyundai Santa-Fe is the largest model as of now. At the 2018 LA motor show, Hyundai will unveil its first full-size SUV. Hyundai Palisade 7-seater SUV will be the largest one, sitting above Santa-Fe. Here we have a leaked clear image of the SUV, which has been circulated online. It gets the latest Hyundai design language with the cascading front grille. The Palisade SUV is unlikely to come to India because of the high pricing.
Hyundai Palisade shares its underpinning with Kia Telluride, which is another upcoming product for the global market. However, the design work and styling is distinctive from Telluride. The Hyundai design language with front cascading grille, two large headlamps and flared wheel arches make it look distinctive.

It will most likely come with 3.3 Litre V6 engine, that comes in the Kia Stinger GT. The engine produces 290 BHP and 341 Nm peak torque. It can also be equipped with a smaller 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine as an option. There are chances of a petrol-hybrid engine also available as an option. For transmission, it might use an 8-speed automatic unit with optional AWD drivetrain on offer.
Since it is a Hyundai car, expect top-of-the-end features in Hyundai Palisade. We believe it may offer many segment first features, as usual. However, most of the features would be suitable for family passengers.

In India, the launch is very unlikely. Hyundai has 2 SUVs (Santa-FE has been stopped) in India, including Creta and Tucson. Almost all of the automakers have their 7-seater SUVs. This segment is always in demand because it passes out as a perfect family car.
However, if Hyundai Palisade debuts India, expect it to easily cross Rs 30 Lakh mark. In that price range, Toyota Fortuner is already giving tough times to other competitors. Hyundai Santa FE was also a very premium SUV, but could not work due to heavy pricing. As such, Hyundai should consider this SUV for the Indian market and place it under Rs 30 Lakhs.
