We have the fresh spy pics of the 2018 Maruti Ertiga under heavy camouflage. The production of the MPV has already started as the launch is slated for 21st November.
Earlier last week, we reported that the production of 2018 Maruti Ertiga has started ahead of its scheduled launch on November 21. Now, we get another fresh set of spy pics and we can say that it is in near-production form. Although it is heavily camouflaged, we get to know some of its design upgrades. The new Ertiga will get a host of visual upgrades, some feature additions and a new 1.5 Litre petrol engine. Based on the spy photos, we see that the 2018 Maruti Ertiga gets a new alloy wheel design, fresh set of headlamps and tail lamps and a revised front grille. It gets projector headlamps and LED tail lights. Also, there are revisions to the rear of the MPV, which now gets a sharper crease line.

The new Ertiga also sees a mild increase in the dimensions. 2018 Maruti Ertiga is 4395 mm long, 1735 mm wide and 1690 mm tall. The ground clearance has been lowered down to 180 mm. The wheelbase remains the same at 2740 mm.
Features additions include projector headlamps, a revised instrument cluster, SmartPlay infotainment system, LED DRLs, Tilt-Adjustable Steering, keyless entry, auto start-stop and Automatic Climate Control.
Safety features on the 2018 Maruti Ertiga will include rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, Dual Front airbags and ISOFIX as standard fitments. The higher variants will come with a reverse parking camera and up to 4 airbags.

Another major addition will include a new 1.5 Litre K15B petrol engine. This engine debuted in the new Ciaz. This engine comes with the mild-hybrid SHVS technology, which earlier came only in diesel variants. The new engine puts 103 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. The other engine will be the same old 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. Although, with BS-VI norms it might get a new 1.5 Litre diesel engine which will be developed in-house by Maruti Suzuki.
The petrol engine comes mated to a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT unit. The diesel engine uses a 5-speed manual gearbox without an option of Automatic Unit.

Currently, Maruti Ertiga starts off at Rs 6.34 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 10.69 Lakhs. The new models might start off at Rs 7 Lakhs going up to Rs 10.8 Lakhs. The nearest rivals to Ertiga include Mahindra Marazzo, Renault Lodgy and Honda BRV.
