The next-generation Hyundai Creta is supposedly going to get a similar design layout as that of the Santa Fe, the launch is expected around late 2020.
It looks like Hyundai has already commenced the development of the next-generation Creta compact SUV. A report published in Autocar India states that the new Hyundai Creta is going to launch in India sometime around late 2020. Furthermore, the next-gen Creta is going to get a Santa Fe inspired exterior design.
Sporting Hyundai’s latest design philosophy, the next-generation Hyundai Creta (Read More) is going to come with a sizable feature upgrade. Not only this, but it will also come with a new set of powertrain options. Furthermore, In comparison to the current iteration, the updated Creta will have bigger dimensions.

The interesting thing to note here is that there are going to be both five as well as seven seater iterations. At the time of the launch, only the five-seater variant is going to make its debut. While the seven-seater variant will launch next year, in 2021.
The new powertrain options are going to be BS-VI complaint. These are going to be the same petrol and diesel engines which we are going to see on the Verna facelift. Both these engines are going to get a displacement figure of 1.5-litre.

Currently, the Hyundai Creta only faces competition from the likes of Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano. And to some extent to the Renault Capture. However, its next-generation iteration is going to lock horns with the Tata Harrier as well as the Nissan Kicks. And of course, with the Kia SP Concept based compact SUV as well.
It is too early to comment on the exterior and interior design of next-generation Hyundai Creta. However, we can say for sure that it is going to get Hyundai’s new design language. With this, the front profile, as always, will be dominated by the automaker’s cascading grille. The headlight will be positioned on the bumper. And in the conventional place of the headlamps will be the sleek LED daytime running lights.

Inside, we will continue to get a dual-tone colour scheme. Keeping in mind that Hyundai does not shy away from loading its cars right up-to-the-brim with features, the next-generation Creta will be no exception. We can expect the new Hyundai Creta to get equipment such as a dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery and a panoramic sun-roof.
