The recently launched Mahindra Marazzo has managed to garner over 10,000 bookings since this MPV made its debut in India over a month ago.
Launched during the first week of September, Mahindra’s all-new MPV, the Marazzo, within a month of its launch, has managed to garner over 10,000 bookings. Priced at INR 9.99 lakhs with the top-end variant retailing at 13.90 lakhs, the Mahindra Marazzo (Read More) finds its place right in-between the two largest selling people carriers in India.
Currently, on one end of the MPV spectrum sits the budget offering from Maruti Suzuki, the Ertiga, While the higher end of the spectrum is completely clenched in the hand of an industry benchmark, the Toyota Innova Crysta.
The Mahindra Marazzo then comes across as a premium alternative to the Ertiga while at the same time not sporting a premium price tag like the Innova Crysta.

The Mahindra Marazzo sits on a ladder frame chassis. However, unlike other vehicles based on a similar platform, gets a longitudinally mounted engine. Mahindra says that this rather unique engine and chassis layout brings the best-of-both-worlds for this MPV.
The Mahindra Marazzo has been designed by the Italian design house Pininfarina. Pininfarina is better known for designing some of the most awe-inspiring Ferraris.

The Mahindra Marazzo gets all the bells and whistles that you can expect in a vehicle which fall in this price segment. Not only this, but it also offers a number of segment first features. For instance, it comes with a roof-mounted air-conditioning system. And right from the base variant onwards, one gets dual-airbags along with ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
In the top-end variants, you also get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. However, only the top-end M8 variant comes with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The latter was introduced recently and was not available at the time of the launch.

Unlike its competition, at the moment, the Mahindra Marazzo is only available with a diesel engine in its line-up. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder oil-burner which is capable of churning out 120 BHP along with 300 Nm of peak torque. As standard, all the variants come with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra says that by next year, they are going to launch a petrol derivative of the Marazzo in India. And also along with this, this MPV is going to come with an automatic gearbox in its line-up.
