Jawa Motorcycles makes a comeback in India with 3 new models. We pitch Jawa Vs Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo UT 300. These three bikes fall in a nearing price range.
After making an exit from the Indian market in 1996, Jawa makes a comeback in the Indian market. Classic Legends has launched 3 Jawa Motorcycles, including Jawa, Jawa 42 and Jawa Perak. 42 is a modern classic roadster, based on the regular one. Perak is a Bobber motorcycle, which draws inspiration from the earlier Jawa Perak 250.
The prices of the bikes start off at Rs 1.55 Lakhs, going up to Rs 1.89 Lakhs.
So, here we put it against Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo UT 300, because of a similar price range.

The Jawa comes equipped with a single-channel ABS. The Classic 350, on the other hand, comes with a dual-channel ABS setup.
Since both are retro bikes, do not expect many features onboard. Lastly, the price of Jawa is Rs 1.64 Lakhs. The Classic 350 starts at Rs 1.39 Lakhs.

Now, this is the typical Old Vs New battle. Dominar 400 is one of the most feature equipped and modern cruisers in this range.
The power figures of the Dominar are also much higher than that of Jawa, but a similar price range brings them against each other.
For safety, Dominar uses dual-channel ABS setup whereas Jawa gets front and rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS.
While the Jawa follows a more retro charm, the Dominar gets all-modern with Split Reverse LCD Display, Automatic LED Headlamps and more such features.

Various reports said that one of the Jawa Motorcycles would use the Mojo’s 300c engine. Well, all those reports are wrong and Jawa has developed a new 300cc engine. The power figures of the Mojo are obviously lower than Jawa, but there is not much difference.
Also, the Mojo misses ABS which is an important feature for performance bikes.
The features again might play a role, but as such Mojo is not a very popular bike. The pricing range of both the cruisers is similar and the fact that Jawa is backed by Mahindra might also affect it.
